SCHUBERT & BRAHMS

Warm, early works by Schubert and Brahms open and close this season’s penultimate program, providing a rich setting for the centerpiece of the evening: the world premiere—by pianist Juho Pohjonen, violinist John Storgårds, and cellist Anssi Karttunen—of a Festival-commissioned piano trio by Magnus Lindberg, hailed as “one of the major voices of 21st-century composition” by The Times.
