The husband-and-wife duo of Lucas Meachem (the Grammy Award–winning baritone who’s been hailed as a “rock star of opera” by Opera Pulse) and Irina Meachem (praised as “a gifted collaborative pianist” by Voce di Meche) present a program of American art songs that “draws from the voices of poets and composers who illuminate the enduring tension between struggle and hope,” Irina wrote in a program note. “These songs,” she continued, “are reminders of where we’ve come from, what we carry forward, and how art continues to shape the way we endure, dream, and belong.”
