BRAHMS & DVOŘÁK

This intimate program features two lovely duets, including Falla’s folk-song-inspired Suite populaire espagnole—which evokes Spain’s rich musical and cultural landscape and here features cellist Paul Watkins and pianist Haochen Zhang—and one of Brahms’s final works: the F-minor Sonata for Viola and Piano, a late masterpiece performed by Paul Neubauer and Zhang. The program also includes Dvořák’s elegant Terzetto, a mix of mournful and fiery music that’s scored for the unusual combination of two violins and a viola.
