LEONIDAS KAVAKOS & ENRICO PACE RECITAL

July 16 | 6:00 pm - 7:40 pm
Portrait of a man with shoulder-length dark hair and glasses, in a blue shirt, sitting in a dim room with a violin resting beside him on striped burgundy walls.
Violinist Leonidas Kavakos—hailed as “astoundingly virtuosic” by The Guardian and “among the greatest instrumentalists of our time” by The Seattle Times—joins forces with pianist Enrico Pace—whose playing has been called “lithe, characterful, and sensitive” by BBC Music Magazine—for the Festival’s one-night-only, pre-season Gala Recital, which features a stunning selection of violin-and-piano showpieces.
BEETHOVEN Sonata in A Minor for Violin and Piano, Op. 23 (1800)

STRAVINSKY Divertimento for Violin and Piano (1932)
