NEW MUSIC WITH THE JACK QUARTET

The JACK Quartet—hailed by The New York Times as “fearless” and “one of contemporary music’s indispensable ensembles”—returns (after making their Festival debut in 2025) to premiere commissioned works by the two participants in the Festival’s 13th annual Young Composers String Quartet Project and to play other exciting works from the 20th and 21st centuries, including Webern’s brief Six Bagatelles, which the composer described as “not much in quantity, but much in content,” and a Webern-inspired piece by György Kurtág.
