On Friday, July 11, an exclusive and enchanting evening awaits at Bishop’s Lodge. With Old World circus-style amusements, elegant dining, and captivating performances, Cirque des Sons promises to be a night of wonder. Beyond the fine wines and dazzling acrobatics, however, lies an even more important purpose—this evening serves as critical support for arts education programs that are transforming lives across Santa Fe and northern New Mexico.

Our 52nd season begins just two days after the Gala, but our work extends far beyond the stage. Through our music education programs—Music in Our Schools, Strings in Our Schools, Guitar in Our Schools, the Dream Big Private Lesson Program, and our Summer Young People’s Concerts—we reach thousands of students from pre-K through 12th grade. These programs offer more than notes on a page; they provide hope, self-expression, discipline, and joy to young minds who might otherwise miss out on these valuable opportunities.

“Now I know what it feels like to make something beautiful with other people.”

—Middle School Student

Right now, these community-based initiatives need your support more than ever. We must turn to each other—our neighbors, patrons, and friends—to ensure that every child has access to the transformative power of music.

The Gala at Bishop’s Lodge is more than a festive night out. It’s a significant investment in our future. It’s a moment to say, “Yes, the arts matter. Yes, every child deserves access. Yes, I will help.”

“I like how my violin sounds. Music inspires me. I’ve learned mistakes are ok, even when it comes to music, because then I learn something new.”

—3rd grade Strings in Our Schools Student Ramirez Thomas Elementary

And what better setting to do so? Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Bishop’s Lodge offers luxury with local charm—kiva fireplaces, Navajo rugs, and the artistry of our region in every detail. Enjoy gourmet cuisine, fine wines, and mesmerizing performances from Wise Fool, New Mexico, whose aerial acts draw inspiration from Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals. Then, please take part in an exciting auction, knowing that every bid goes directly toward sustaining and expanding our music education efforts.

If you’ve ever felt the spark of music or witnessed the joy it brings a child, we invite you to help kindle that flame in others. Join us on July 11. Be part of something bigger than a celebration. Be part of a movement to preserve and protect the arts for generations to come.

Please reserve your seat, book your stay, and support the future of music in our schools. We can’t do it without you.
