Pianist Juho Pohjonen opens this youthful program with a brilliant collection of short works that Schubert wrote toward the end of his tragically short life, and then violinist Yura Lee joins him for a work Schubert composed at age 20: the lyrical and exuberant Duo Sonata. An ensemble of six Festival musicians brings the program to a close with Korngold’s lush, late-Romantic String Sextet, which the Austrian prodigy wrote when he was 18 years old.
